Explore the McGuire Nuclear Station in Lake Norman

If you are new to the area, or you are just curious about what the McGuire Nuclear station does at Lake Norman, then this is your chance to check it out!

Lake Norman is the States Largest Man-Made lake, built in 1963. Lake Norman's water provides the cooling to the Nuclear plant and also the Marshall Steam Station.

On April 30th, the EnergyExplorium at the Station is hosting a newcomer's drop-in from 6-8pm and it's free for children and adults. Also with the presentation, you will get to see a 30 minute movie about the construction of Lake Norman (since it's a man-made lake)

Looks like a great place to visit and get some good information about the origins, etc.

You know I've never been there.   We almost bought land across from it 20 years ago when we first moved the NC, but...  glad we didn't.  Maybe I should become more educated and visit.  Great blog!
